You will need: Posidrive screwdriver Set of pliers
Step 1 :Remove the fixing screws at the side OR back of the lock, and remove it from nightlatch from the door.
Step 2 :Remove the lock case from the fixing bracket on the door to reveal the cylinder tail and the fixing screws for the rim cylinder
Step 3 :Remove the 2 fixing screws that are holding the rim cylinder in place.

Step 5 : With the new cylinder you may need to cut the tail down to the same size as the old cylinder, this is done by using a pair of pliers or grips. After cutting the tail to length, simply replace it into the door, then replace the 2 fixing screws at the back, and finally the night latch.
2) Changing a Euro Cylinder
You will need: Posidrive screwdriver Existing keys NEW Euro cylinder
Step 1 :Remove the fixing screw (sometimes this can be a allen key ) that is located on the side of the door, in line with the bottom of the cylinder as shown.
Step 2 :The key is needed to turn a cam that is holding the cylinder into the door, with a pulling movement, turn the key slowly until you feel the cylinder pull out of the door. Simply replace the cylinder, making sure the keys are inserted to make the cam flush, then replace fixing screw.
Step 1: Position lock body as near to the mid-height of the door as possible. Place lock body against door edge and mark top and bottom of lock body on door edge, avoiding joints of cross members in the door.
Step 2: Between these two lines mark the central vertical position (dotted line). Along this vertical line drill a series of overlapping holes to the lock depth. In order to drill to the correct depth apply adhesive tape to the drill bit to the measured lock depth (including the forend and face plate).
Step3:With lock body inserted, draw around forend on door edge - remember to add removable faceplate before tracing outline. Remove lock and chisel recess to accommodate lock faceplate. Place lock in door and ensure a good fit with faceplate flush with door edge
Step 4:With lock held against door face ensuring faceplate is flush with door edge and in line with lock recess, mark position of the key hole (and spindle). Drill and cut holes on both sides of the door for the key
Step 5: With faceplate in position secure lock into door with screws provided. Fit escutcheons and/or door handles with spindle cut to suit. Test for easy working operation.
Step 6: With the door open and the bolt in the locked position, close door gently against door frame. Mark positions of bottom of bolt and top of latch bolt.
Step 7: Hold box striker up to door frame, ensuring the box section is in line with previous markings. Draw around box section of box striker on door frame. Along the vertical line.
Step 8: Drill a series of overlapping holes to the box depth. Hold box striker up to frame and draw around edge of box striker. Remove box striker and chisel out so that box striker sits flush in door frame. Secure the box striker using screws in the central or elongated holes only. Test lock for working operation, and adjust position of box striker if required. When aligned correctly, fit the two remaining screws.
4) How to fit a night latch
Step 1: Select desired height for lock. Select either Mounting Plate Template A (For doors hinged on the right as seen from the inside) OR Template B (For door hinged on the left as seen from the inside). Using the selected template, mark the centres of the 3 holes either 40mm or 60mm (as stated above) from the edge of the door on both sides of the door.
Step 2: At the middle mark, drilling from both sides of the door, drill a 32mm hole through the door. Working from the outside of the door, drill a 10mm diameter hole to a depth of 16mm at each of the two marked spots. Working from the inside of the door, drill a 6 mm diameter hole through the door at each of the two marked spots. Countersink these two holes using a 10mm drill bit to a depth of 5mm.
Step 3: With the key removed, insert the cylinder pull through the door. With a pencil, mark cylinder bar level with inside of surface of door. Remove cylinder and cut bar so that it will project 8mm beyond the door face, i.e. beyond the pencil mark. Re-insert cylinder and secure with (x2)large screws provided ensuring they are sunk below the door surface. Do not over tighten bolts.
Step 4: Remove mounting plate from lock body by unscrewing the 2 retaining screws. Place the mounting plate over the connecting bar. Secure the mounting plate to the cylinder pull using the two slotted connecintg bolts through the mounting plate top centre holes. Do not over tighten the bolts. Note: For doors less than 45mm thick, connecting bolts may need to be shortened using a hacksaw. Using the 4 wood screws provided, secure the mounting plate in positions A and C. When fixing mount plate, if holes A are not suitable due to previous holes etc, fix plate using positions B.
Step 5: Using lock as template, locate lock body over mounting plate. Mark area to be removed from the door edge remove lock from mounting plate and chisel out so that the lock face (kitemarked edge) sits flush. Mark the position of the 2 fixings holes. Remove lock and drill positions marked, drilling pilot holes if neccesary.
Step 6: Locate lock body over mounting plate and slide lock to engage locking F pegs, ensuring lock face (kitemarked edge) fits flush in recess. Replace the 2 retaining screws and secure lock using the 2 wood screws provided
