Euro cylinders with a thumbturn are used on UPVC doors and composite doors where a euro case has been fitted.

The advantage of a euro cylinder with a thumb turn is that the occupant of the dwelling can lock and open the door very easily from the inside, with the same level of security on the outside. In case of a fire the occupant would not need to find the keys in order to open the euro cylinder, just simply turn the thumb turn to the open position.
