Mortice Deadlocks:

Mortice deadlocks are available in a large variety of shapes and sizes. The deadlocks are available with 2, 3, 5 and 7 levers inside and with size variants of 2.5'' and 3'' lock case sizes. We recomend that a 5 lever BS 3621: 2004 mortice lock should be fitted to external doors and main exit doors on a domestic building in order to comply with your insurance regulations.

How do you recognise a British Standard Mortice Lock? - Answer: The front of the lock (the faceplate) should have the BS kite mark stamped on it, and when you turn the key and the bolt is thrown into the locking position, the bolt itself should measure 20mm in length.
